Maleme Villa
Crete, Chania, Maleme
4.9 out of 5 from 35  reviews

Nestling in the sleepy, unspoilt village of Maleme, with a backdrop of the White Mountains and a beautiful adjoining orange grove, Maleme Villa offers a luxury, tranquil Cretan village holiday. The villa is located at the edge of a village, ensuring a peaceful, relaxing stay; a five minutes stroll through the rustic village leads to the beach, taverns and shops. The villa has been lovingly and tastefully restored to maintain its original charm and character whilst importantly incorporating all the facilities you would expect for modern day living and more.

Next to a lovely orange grove, to the side of the property, in the pretty walled-garden, is the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Enjoy pool-side lounging on the wooden deck which has a range of comfortable furniture. Take a break for drinks and snacks in the impressive pool-house, which has a kitchen and a sleeping area; or enjoy an outdoor meal from the gas barbecue. To truly pamper yourself go below the pool-house and really relax in your very own luxury steam room. Shower and toilet facilities are also located here.

The layout of the villa is a little complicated as, before the restoration, half of the building was a house while the other half was a stable. Now at the ground floor there are two fully equipped kitchens, a spacious lounge with vaulted ceiling and a formal dining area that can comfortably seat six people. Stairs from the lounge lead to a romantic double bedroom on a stunning mezzanine floor. Beyond the dining area is a small, beautiful bay-windowed conservatory in which you can relax, read or just take a nap. At the same floor there are two bathrooms and a twin bedroom with French door leading to a back yard. On the first floor there are a bathroom and a double bedroom with a private balcony.

Covid-19 policy update

On Monday 13/04/2020, Greek Government Gazette published a new regulation (ΦΕΚ 84/Α/13-4-2020, Article 70) to help Greek tourism businesses (hotels and travel agencies) to avoid bankruptcy, due to the unprecedented number of cancellations caused by the pandemic.

The regulation allows these businesses to reimburse customers with 18-month vouchers instead of cash refunds, if these businesses are obliged, based on their policy, to refund any amount that the customers have paid in advanced. The regulation is valid for cancellations made between 25/02/2020 to 30/09/2020.

Holidaymakers will not lose their money and will have the chance to use their booking towards another holiday at a future date with the same business. If, for any reason, customers will not use the voucher within 18 months, businesses will be required to refund the initial amount of the bookings to the customers.

  • Fantastic Villa

    Period of Stay: Aug 2019
This was our fourth summer holiday spent at Maleme Villa and we weren’t disappointed! The villa is immaculately clean and equipped to a high standard including a beautiful garden, good sized pool and bbq. The surrounding area is very quiet which along with it’s rural setting, makes it a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The local supermarket and shops are a short walk away (approx 5mins) and the beach along with numerous tavernas are well within walking distance. Maleme is on the main bus route, making trips to Chania and other beach resorts easily achievable without hiring a car. The high standard of the villa and its proximity to local amenities make it ideal for families or groups of all ages (including those with young children). The owner, Stella, is extremely welcoming and will do anything she can to ensure that you enjoy your time at the villa.

We have already booked our next holiday at the villa for 2020 and can’t wait to come back. Our two children (11 and 9) love staying there, the pool, closeness to the beach and easy access to public transport in order to explore the wider area ensure that they are never bored. We can’t recommend this villa highly enough!
  • Wonderful vacation

    Period of Stay: Aug 2019
This is a place there you can be private or have many people around you. There is everything you need and the owner and her people take care of you and the villa. We like this place very much and hope we be there again soon. The pool is the place there you have fun or rest after traveling around the island. The sea is near. Free sunbeds.

Chania Rental is very nice and take care of your problem and give you very much help for your asking. You can hire car in a easy way.

We are goning to tell everybody that Maleme Villa is the place for good vacation!

    Thanks from:

  • Excellent family holiday

    Period of Stay: Jun 2019
Everything was just great, Situation perfect. Just near enough to walk to bars, beach and bus stop but also far enough away to be peaceful in the evenings. Lovely pool. Well equipped although a little confusing with 2 kitchens! When we mentioned a lack of sharp cutting knives the owner arrived with new ones later the same day. Our family group ranged from a 1 year old to a 72 year old and everyone enjoyed it.
  • Spring holiday

    Period of Stay: Apr 2019
We stayed at the Maleme Villa during our Easter holiday for a week. Since we had an early morning flight and the villa was empty, we got to sign in already at noon. The landlady was very welcoming and had gotten some local delicacies for us.

The villa was high quality, clean and spacious. We were two couples and one child travelling and fitted very nicely in the main building so we didn’t use the pool house. The yard was tidy, comfortable and pretty secluded from neighbours and streets. We were propably first visitors after winter so the villa felt a bit damp in the beginning. Luckily the heating was very effective and after warming up the dampness wasn’t an issue anymore. There was also air conditioning for summer available. The pool was at our disposal but water was still a bit too cold for longer swims.

Location is quite peaceful and there’s only a short walk to the beach (our 3,5-year-old could walk it back and forth easily). There’s also a good supermarket (Synka) close by on the main street. Bit further towards Hania there’s town called Platania with shops/restaurants. We had a rental car but public buses seemed to drive pass regularly. During our stay in late April it was very peaceful as the main season wasn’t on and some places were still closed (some bit more secluded tavernas, bike rentals etc.) and under some renovation after winter. There were also lots of landfalls in the mountains nearby which occasionally had destroyed half of the road. All in all Maleme Villa can be easily recommended and if we ever go back to the region we will surely book it again.
  • Lovely house and gardens

    Period of Stay: Apr 2018
We had a most enjoyable week in mid April which we thought was very good value for such a lovely spacious house.

We arrived a bit early but were made very welcome and Stella, the owner gave us some home made cheese pastries while we waited for the final cleaning to be done.

The house is stylish, characterful, light and airy with an unusual but very flexible layout, beautiful and immaculately maintained grounds including a citrus grove. There is plenty of space in both sun and shade and we enjoyed outside living most days. The pool is shallow and was quite cool so early in the year but very usable and refreshing. The house is on the edge of the village in an area predominantly occupied by locals and with a very Greek feel. It is only a short walk to the main road with tavernas, bus stops and a very good supermarket but far enough from the centre to escape the crowds in high season. Maleme is not a picture perfect Greek village but has everything most people would want and a good bus service to Chania for those who want to explore a bit.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay in a very attractive and well maintained house with a hospitable friendly and caring owner.
  • Early Autumn Bliss

    Period of Stay: Oct 2017
So lucky with this weather for the 1/2 term holiday. Maleme Villa exceeded our wildest expectations with no less than 2 outside dining areas - sun or shade - oven or BBQ - you choose. 7 of us - 3 generations - just adored this rural idyll. Some superb meals at Mikes Hotel, which like the shops, beach and supermarket is only 5 minutes walk. Do not hire a car, as the buses into Chania (must visit) are frequent and "Mike Hotel" is a named stop. If you are a walker, have a go at one of the Gorges, accessed by coach from outside Mikes. However if you choose "Samaria", the longest Gorge in Europe, you'll be up at 4.30 and not back until 9.15. The views are stunning but the walk is tough, our wonderful guide Carolina, can do it in 2 hours, at age 82 it took me 8 hours with barely a stop, and there's no "way out". The other "must visit" is Elafonisi Beach, on a nice day - an hours coach trip to the South West of Crete - deserves its reputation as the "Third Best in the World".
  • Cretan magic!

    Period of Stay: Aug 2017
What a wonderful time we had at the pretty Maleme villa (27.08-03.09) After a very early arrival (2 families, 4 children) Stella greeted us warmly with an array of Cretan specialities and breakfast provisions. The villa, pool house, pool and barbecue facilities were fantastic catering for all our needs. We also made use of the delicious produce in the adjoining garden. The pool was a favourite and many a volleyball game took place!

Stella offered great advice about places to visit - both in walking distance and car/bus journey away. Worth a visit - a late evening stroll along to the German cemetery. By car, the Botanical gardens and gorge are beautiful, if you're up for a hike! A boat trip to the idyllic Balos Bay is a must! Buses into Chania very efficient and bus stop close to villa. Chania is stunning both day and night. Local supermarket all you need and very friendly local butcher. We did have a kitten visitor named 'Iris' by our children - who didn't enter the villa, but was very playful in the garden.

We departed with some delicious olive oil gifts from Stella. A fabulous stay, enjoyed by all and comes highly recommended.
  • Fantastic house, disappointing location

    Period of Stay: Aug 2017
8 of us stayed at Maleme cottages from 12-19 August 2017. The house is absolutely excellent. It is very well equipped with plenty of space, beds, towels. The pool is lovely and so are the gardens. Everything is well maintained.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the location. Given the price we payed for 1 week (2610€) we were surprised that a lot of the surrounding area was run down. Many of the houses in the same street are derelict/ruins and the whole village of Maleme has seen better days. Lots of shops/buildings on the main strip are empty. We were also very disappointed at the ugly, stony beach. Cant really understand why no one points this out. There are fantastic beaches on the Island but you need a hire car to get to them. The neighbours were very noise sensitive as far as we were concerned. They didnt seem to mind about their own barking dogs but our laughing was not appreciated. They complained on several occasions (even when we were out all day!) and that had a negative impact on our enjoyment of the holiday.

Crete was fantastic. In general, very friendly people and food and weather were perfect. We all said we would return to the island but we cannot recommend the house because of the rundown location and unfriendly neighbours. For that reason (offset by the high price) we rate the overall experiece as average.
  • Wonderful Villa

    Period of Stay: Aug 2017
This was our second holiday at Maleme Villa and we were not disappointed! The Villa is in a lovely location; quiet, near to a variety of shops, close to the sea and beachfront bars and tavernas. The property is spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard, with all the utilities required for a self contained family holiday.

The pool is great and has a shallow end making it suitable for families with young children, as well as a fantastic pool house. The gardens are beautiful, well maintained and include an excellent brick-built BBQ.

We didn't hire a car as the Villa is well within walking distance to the beach and local shops and regular public transport links to Chania and other villages/resorts. If you were to hire a car there is plenty of space for parking next to the Villa.

Maleme Villa is a fabulous place to stay and is suitable for families with children (of all ages) or groups of adults. Highly recommended!
  • Nice villa

    Period of Stay: Jul 2017
This went well from the start. The owner was there to meet us a few minutes early bringing some of her own garden produce too. She brought more mid-week with oranges to juice etc. Plus the garden at the villa provides more tomatoes, eggplants etc.

My daughters loved the pool house and we spent most of our time sitting around the pool there.

There are a number of local cats who will try to sneak into the house if you are not vigialnt so best not to leave anything that they might suspect of being edible because they will try, even if it isn't.

The location is good, there are a few minimarkets and a bakery that you can reach on foot or a short drive. The walk down to the beach is easy, my advice would be to ignore the first couple of restaurants and head to the beach, the Wave restaurant seemed the best to us.

All in all it was just what we wanted and I would definitely return.
  • Fantastic Maleme Villa

    Period of Stay: Jun 2017
We had a fantastic time in the Maleme villa!!!

Almost everything was perfect: the location, the house, the poolhouse, the pool, the garden, the barbecue. And of course our hostess!

We only lacked one thing: more furnitures in the garden. There were no furnitures at the terrace outside the livningroom and the small terrace outside the small bedroom on the first floor. We would also like some furnitures at the roofterrace.

We will absolutely recommend this villa!
  • Beautiful villa, wonderful stay!

    Period of Stay: May 2017
The villa was pretty perfect and the swimming pool was lovely! The gardener left us fresh oranges from the orange grove and beautiful gardenia blossoms. The location was perfect, we could walk to the shops, the beach and plenty of restaurants but it was nice to be "tucked away" on the edge of the town. Very quiet except for the rooster and the loudest dawn chorus I've ever heard! (Not a bad thing by any means!) The owner was very sweet, recommended lots of activities and places to see, and left us some parting gifts. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you!
  • Amazing time

    Period of Stay: Apr 2017
This was our first visit to Greece and we loved it. The hospitality and friendliness shown by Stella, Alexis and most people on the island made us feel at home and welcomed like any other experiences in our travels so far. We had a great time at the cottage relaxing by the pool and enjoying the oranges brought to us. We would recommend staying here and hope to return one day.
  • Fantastic villa

    Period of Stay: Sep 2015
What a find! This villa is in a great location being nice and quiet but within walking distance of the shops, beach and a good selection of tavernas. The villa is immaculately clean and everything you could need is there. The pool is a good size and having the pool house is a bonus.

The owner is very friendly and met us at the villa even though we didn't arrive till late. We were really pleased with the 'welcome pack' of food and tea/coffee as it was too late to go to the shops.

We hired a car and saw some of the island(which is beautifully) although as it is so big we saw only a few places.
We would definitely recommend this villa and hope to go back some day
  • lovely Villa

    Period of Stay: Sep 2015
We spent a lovely relaxing week at this wonderful villa,. More than met our expectations.warm welcome from Stella and lovely homemade cake later in week. Fresh produce from gardener, villa very clean and Sophia the cleaner very friendly.
Shops, tavernas and beach easy walk. Good base to explore western Crete if you wish.
    sad to leave

    Period of Stay: Aug 2015

    Merci encore 1000 fois Stella.
  • More than we could have expected

    Period of Stay: Jul 2015
We stayed in this lovely house for one week, and were sad to leave. The location is perfect and peaceful and everything functioned really well. Stella's warm hospitality was an extra bonus as well as the friendly attitude of Alex, the gardener and the cleaning ladies. We didn't hire a car, and didn't actually need it. A very good supermarket is nearby and the beach restaurants are close too. It is easy to go to Platanias and Hania by bus or taxi. A warm thank you for a great holiday :)
  • Simply Amazing!

    Period of Stay: May 2015
We have recently returned from what was a perfect honeymoon at Maleme Villa. The villa is truly wonderful and has everything you could ever need, and more! Maleme Villa is incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. We were greeted by Stella, her lovely mother and the lady who cleans the villa - and what a fabulous greeting we received! Stella spoiled us with some lovely treats and we were very touched by this gesture.

We had a hire car for the week we stayed but we didn't leave the villa for 3 days because we were so relaxed and comfortable. We ate out most evenings and we can strongly recommend Mike's hotel and restaurant, which is on the main road. Turn left when you get to the bike hire place and it's a short stroll to Mike's.

The only downside is that we had to come home. I just hope that we can go back again one day and, if we can, we'll definitely book for a fortnight.
  • spring in Crete

    Period of Stay: Apr 2015
We had a lovely week based in Maleme. The villa was everything that it said it would be and the welcome was more than we could possibly have expected. Aptera was a highlight - fascinating place with the added benefit of amazing views of Souda Bay and wonderful wild flowers. Great to have bike hire just down the road. The Botanic park was also well worth a visit - and a meal with delicious homemade lemonade.
  • Holiday 10.06.-17.06.2104

    Period of Stay: Jun 2014
perfect house, perfect pool, a very Relaxing Holiday in a beautiful area! when we decide to make our holiday again in crete we would choose Villa maleme! it was also a very nice und very friendly host an Service.

    Period of Stay: Jul 2014
We feel that we will only be repeating the comments of others who have stayed here, but it truly lives up to expectations. From the villas location, to the superb facilities throughout, we honestly could not find fault, and had a brilliant holiday with every comfort you could wish for. To be met at the villa with local goods, to chat with the owner and be given a few local tips as where to visit and eat, was a really nice touch,(thank you Stella).

As a family, with four teenagers, the location worked for everyone, with ample space to relax around the pool, or stroll down to the beach.

This was the first time that we didn't hire a car on holiday, and we pre booked a mini bus from the airport both ways, and used the superb, air-conditioned coaches to visit Chania, which is a beautiful day/night out.

Our holiday was a total success, although we could have stayed a lot longer! We hope to return again, and would recommend this wonderful home to allow you to enjoy your Greek holiday.
  • Perfect base for a wonderful family holiday

    Period of Stay: Jul 2014
This villa was perfect for our two week family holiday. The villa itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Stella and her team made us very welcome with supplies in the fridge when we arrived and a few delicious gifts from the bakery during our stay. The pool was pefect for our two young children (7 & 9). The pool house and veranda provides shade all day. The location is right on the edge of the village with virtually no passing traffic. You can easily walk to a wide variety of tavernas, shops and the beach. We hired a car which we would recommend so that you can explore this beautiful region. This villa is highly recommended. We will definitely be returning to Crete again.
  • Perfect family holiday

    Period of Stay: Jul 2014
Chania Rentals have been the most efficient and helpful rental firm, answering questions and making recommendations by return emails. Maleme Villa is fantastic...perfect for our holiday with teenagers and young adults. Very clean, well equipped and wonderfully kept swimming pool.Everything you need in walking distance;beach, tavernas, bus stop and supermarket. Easy to use buses, and fun to hire bikes too. Lovely treats from owner on arrival, and wonderful to have cleaner midweek. Highly recommend it...we shall return!
  • Maleme Villa

    Period of Stay: May 2014
We arrived late at night and were greeted by Stella, the owner of the villa. Stella made us very welcome and had provided basic provisions and beer for us. Later she bought round some hot home-made (by her mum) vegetable pies, which were delicious. There was also a decanter of Ouzo to get us in the holiday mood.

The villa was immaculate and beautifully furnished. There are 2 fully furnished kitchens, which we found very useful. The pool house was adopted by our 21 year old. We had free run of the orange grove and lemon tree and made freshly squeezed juice for breakfast every day.The pool was heaven on hot days and we made full use of it.

Near to the villa, on the way down to the beach, there is a lovely restaurant called 'Perasma'. The lady who owns it is a real character. We ate there twice and especially loved the hot vine leaves. A nice little touch was the small ice creams we were given after each meal. The night before we left, she gave me and my mum a bottle of aperitif each.

Within walking distance from the villa is a tavern called 'The Black Lantern' which is owned by an English man named Graham. We had a really good evening there dancing to old 60's songs.

About 15-20 minutes walk from the villa, there is a German War Cemetery where more than 15000 German soldiers lost their lives during the Second World War in the Greek territory. It is so well tended and such a peaceful place to visit.

Another restaurant we visited was 'Lithos' in Chania. Excellent service and food. 100% recommended

All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would totally recommend this villa.
  • Maleme Villa

    Period of Stay: Jun 2014
We arrived at the villa late evening to be welcomed so warmly by the lovely Stella. We were overwhelmed by her generosity, making us marmalade and cookies and filling the fridge with a few essentials.

The villa is stunning. Sometimes photos are taken in such a way to make things look larger, but the villa is exactly as it looks in the photos, beautifully restored, tastefully furnished and wonderfully comfortable. It's only a short walk down to the main road where we caught buses and another few minutes down to the beach. We had the best of both worlds, peace and relaxation at the villa and plenty to do just down the road.

Honestly we had he best holiday ever and if you get the chance to snap up this wonderful property I promise you wont be disappointed! Thank you so much Stella, and thank you to the team at Chania Rentals for making my booking and stay so easy and wonderful!
  • May 2014

    Period of Stay: May 2014
Maleme House was a very comfortable base for our family holiday. It was well furnished & looked after. We particularly enjoyed the garden and pool. A suggestion to make the accommodation more comfortable is to improve the kitchen equipment. Local fruit and vegetables are delicious so part of our holiday enjoyment is to cook for ourselves. There is a good oven, dishwasher and lots of crockery and we would have appreciated better chopping boards, knives and other utensils. We expected to have young children with us and they would have had difficulty with the open staircases and different levels.
  • Excellent Accommodation

    Period of Stay: Apr 2014
We arrived to meet Stella, who was very welcoming and had left a welcome pack in the Fridge along with a lovely Easter cake! Very nice! The villa is first class accommodation clean and spacious. We spent the first few days around the pool, while the weather was good, very relaxing. The villa is well positioned, to walk to the village and the seafront also the bus to Chania is on your doorstep. Please visit Traditional Cretan Products, excellent cheese and wine. Also the Ceramic workshop is well worth a visit. Village itself was very quiet, which suited us. All in all our experience of Crete was wonderful, people lovely and scenery beautiful. Thanks to Stella and also Sofia who helped with directions to the car hire people.
  • Excellent holiday

    Period of Stay: Aug 2013
My wife and three daughters (13,11, 8) have hired villas in various countries for the past 7 years. It is no exaggeration to say that Maleme Cottages ticked all our boxes and met all our expectations.

The villa is located in a residential area of Maleme, on a corner plot, and consists of a 2 acre orange orchard, pool house/pool and cottage. The owner has made every effort to style and design the villa in a modern manner. The garden is peaceful and colourful and the pool has a jacuzzi area in one corner which is very relaxing. The pool is not particularly large and at the deepest part is approximately 1.6m which is safe for children of our ages

If you want a relaxing holiday without too much touring then a car hire is not essential for this villa. There are approximately 6 supermarkets, 8 tavernas, a butcher and chemist all within a 5-10 minute walk. The beach front itself is no more than 10 minute walk away and although it is a pebble beach most of the cafe/restaurants allow free use of sunbeds providing you are a customer without any pressure of continued spending. We ate locally most nights and did not have a bad meal at all although service at one was most poor. Tavernas particularly recommended are Malame Taverna on the beach front and Mikes Hotel on the main road. It was extremely cheap to dine out with cost of approximately 50 euros for our family of five which included bread entree, a main course, drinks and fruit.

Bus travel into the main area of Chania is straightforward taking approximately 30 minutes at a cost of 2.30euros each and buses run very frequently. The harbour in Chania is beautiful with plenty of tavernas and shopping opportunities. Our girls enjoyed a tour of Chania on a horse and carriage. A water park at Limnoupolis is also a good day out for young families.

The Cretan people of very generous and welcoming. Our host, Stella, brought us many gifts during our stay including fresh oranges, cakes, biscuits and olive oil.

This house accommodated our party of 8 perfectly. It had everything we needed for our stay and we had a fantastic holiday. The villa and pool were well looked after and our host very welcoming and generous. We managed without a car for a week as the local buses were brilliant and supermarket and restaurants are within easy walking distance. First time to Crete but hopefully not the last! Thank you!

We have spend some wonderful days in Maleme Villa. It was Easter in Greece and we were spoiled by our generous host with biscuits, colored eggs, sweet bread and lamb pie- all home made! We enjoyed the homely atmosphere of this well kept and clean place with its pretty garden and the tempting pool. We were glad that it was only a short drive to Chania, a buzzling village with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nestled in the old venetian buildings. Perfect for teenager to stroll along on their own. Although it takes some driving to get to the sandy beaches along the west coast we recommend those day trips to Falarnassa, to Balos or to Efalonisi. Have a picnic lunch under the olive trees and get some greek food in one of the greek taverns while the sun sets. The 'Deutsche Soldatenfriedhof", just a walking distance from the house, should be visited to make sure that these dark years will never be forgotten. The Samaria Gorge was stunning- a nice combination of walking and getting taken back by boat. May is most probably the best time to visit Crete Island.

6 of us fitted well into this house very comfortably. The house is situated in real Crete and as I lived in Platanias 25 years ago when there was only one restaurant and one hotel, this was a quiet and pleasant relief. The house is very nice and well converted having air conditioning that works and is all well decked out . Good for all types of groups of people probably catering slightly more for those that would like it a bit more peaceful when they get home at night
  • Wonderful holiday in Maleme Villa !

    Period of Stay: Sep 2012
We spent a very good time in the maleme villa. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the hammam. The villa was near the sea. There were many shops like a bakery near the villa to buy things without using a car. We ate Cretan specialities in beautiful restaurants along the Maleme beach . The bus is very helpful to visit Hania and to go in Platanias to enjoy of the sandy beach.

This is an extremely welcoming villa, furnished and maintained with great taste and very well taken care of, including the lovely pool and garden with the adjoining lime grove. Best thing though is the personal style, it feels as if you were visiting friends rather than renting a holiday home: flowers, delicious home-made marmalade and wine! Plenty of cats too if you want them! The living room with the master bedroom off it is stunning. We travelled as a family with three nearly grown-up teenagers and an additional friend - the house is spacious and especially the pool house was useful for some extra privacy and internet access. Maleme itself has a pebbly beach and good swimming, some restaurants and a great local bakery but is not too touristy. Lots of other beautiful beaches, mountain villages and charming Chania close by. We had a brilliant holiday!

We stayed in this great villa for 2 weeks. There were 10 of us, 6 adults and four children. We had a fantastic holiday. The house , garden and pool were all first class. We were made very welcome and had great freedom to enjoy a wonderful holiday. We were particularly impressed with the standard of cleanliness and the frequent visits of the cleaning ladies! They work so hard. Thank you again for a super stay.
  • A fantastic villa!

A superbly renovated and carefully maintained villa and grounds, spacious and cool, with a beautiful garden full of flowers, a very nice pool and an orange grove, in a very quiet place, however within walking distance of supermarket, shops and beach. The owner brought us home made cookies, flowers, wine and oil and the cleaning lady, Sofia, taught us how to cook moussaka and gave us fruit and oil. We felt at home, which is not often the case with a rented house. The 4 of us had plenty of space and privacy and we loved having our meals outside on the shaded terrace - we used the BBQ a lot. I have a mobility problem but with the downstair room and shower room it was perfect. The pool is also easily accessible. A perfect 15-day holiday and we just want to come back as soon as possible!
